The Key to All Things

Adventure, fantasy, murder and romance — a new world brought to you by the author of The Chocolatier’s Wife.

Description

Every day, Avriel hears the bards sing about the greatest love story of all times, a heartbreaking romance between a human nobleman, Captain Edward de Vere, and the beautiful Queen of the Fae, who dismissed him and shattered his heart to accept her throne. Like many court ladies, Avriel longs for the sad and romantic captain as she secretly works as a double agent at both human and fae courts to keep the peace between the two kingdoms.

But for three hours every night she remembers a completely different world, where the greatest love story is a lie, and Edward belongs to her. She believes this reality to be the true one, even if no one else does. To undo the spell and set things right, she must go against the all-powerful Elder Fae and confront the darkest powers that rule her destiny. But even that is not the worst. Her actions may destroy the world as she knows it, and open her kingdom to destruction. Is this choice worth getting her love back?

A new land in a familiar world…

The Key to All Things may have some familiar names for those who have read The Chocolatier’s Wife and Ghost.  The Pandroth Empire wants airships — a technology that has so far eluded the powerful empire — and Nathria has them.  Nathria also has a wall of fog that is only penetrable by people born on the island, at the helm of ships made from wood grown on the island…but the Pandrazzi are not easily dissuaded…

We also might have a call out to a certain chocolate maker…

The Key to All Things takes place in a shared world where several of my planned stories will happen.  Someday we will revisit Avriel and Edward (Working title…In The Hall of the Obsidian Queen….), explore things from a soldier of the Pandrazzi empire’s perspective and visit with a land that has found a way of creating airships (it’s dreadful, what they do) which makes it doubly important Pandroth never hears of it…
